Diwali is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in India. It symbolises the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. People decorate their homes with colourful rangolis, light traditional diyas and exchange sweets and greetings.
Festivals are also opportunities to reflect on our responsibilities. We should celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly manner by avoiding noisy firecrackers, reducing waste and helping those who are less fortunate. A simple act of kindness can bring happiness to someone’s life.
